Emerging Climate Change Risks for Companies and Financial Institutions

Companies and financial institutions in ADB developing member countries face various emerging climate risks. As countries transition to net-zero-aligned economies, companies and financial institutions face new legal and regulatory landscape and governance and risk management challenges. Also, climate litigation against companies and financial institutions is ramping up and they face unprecedented court judgments with serious implications on business operations.

How ready are companies and financial institutions to meet these challenges? How can they better understand the climate change risks and integrate them into decision-making processes? What can companies and financial institutions do to adapt their businesses and portfolios to take into account these growing climate change obligations and risks? Join the ADB’s Office of the General Counsel's Law and Policy Reform Program as it talks climate risk with global experts.
