Water Resources Act (1992)

The Act (25 articles) is a framework act for the rational utilization and conservation of the water resources. It establishes broad regulation making powers for a range of subjects, it sets out certain free water uses as well as priority rules for the allocation of water. It further creates the legal framework for Water Users Associations, for persons who are willing to make use of the water resources for collective benefits.
