Environment Protection Rules (2054/1997)

These Rules implement various provisions of the Environment Protection Act, 1997.
The Rules provide for: the conduction of initial environmental examination or Environmental Impact Assessments; sources, prevention and control of pollution; qualification of environmental inspectors and their functions, duties and powers; conservation of national heritages and environment conservation zones; functions, duties and powers of environmental laboratories; operations of the Environment Conservation Fund; etc.
