MoFAI Gains Momentum at UN Forum on Forests

The Model Forest Act Initiative (MoFAI) gained significant traction at the recent 19th Session of the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF19) held in New York City (May 6-10, 2024). The ADB delegation actively championed MoFAI throughout the event. A key highlight was a policy discussion session on May 6th featuring a co-presentation by Patricia Kameri-Mbote (Director of Law Division, UNEP) and Christina Pak (Principal Counsel, ADB). This session served as an introduction of MoFAI to a broad audience of policymakers and demonstrated the growing global recognition and support for MoFAI.
