ADB Strengthens Investment Governance in Uzbekistan
On 20-28 August 2026, ADB delivered a series of capacity building workshops for Uzbekistan policymakers, prosecutors and judges on resilient investment governance, in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Ministry of Justice. Participants discussed Uzbekistan’s Foreign Direct Investment legal framework, investor-state dispute settlement and the role of domestic institutions in supporting investor confidence and managing legal risks. The program concluded with a cross-government dialogue to promote greater policy coherence and institutional coordination, marking the successful completion of a two-year FDI Governance Program implemented under the Office of the General Counsel's Law and Policy Reform Program.
