ADB Partnered with Philippines Legal Education Board on Environmental Law Curriculum Development and Capacity Building

ADB's General Counsel Thomas Clark opened the 22 September 2021 launch of the Philippine Environmental Law Teachers Training Program which supported the Legal Education Board’s recent reform initiative providing for mandatory teaching of environmental law. Over 100 legal educators participated in the 12-week training program that covered curriculum design and best practices in environmental and climate change law teaching. ADB assisted in the development of a model syllabus and supported capacity building under ADB's Law and Policy Reform Program.
