ADB launched its judicial capacity building program on environmental and climate laws.

On 25 September 2023, ADB launched its judicial capacity building program on environmental and climate laws, in coordination with the Cambodia Resident Mission. Prosecutors, judges, and student judges from provinces facing environmental challenges across the country convened at the Royal Academy of Justice Cambodia (RAJC) in Phnom Penh. The week-long training is a major part of ADB's ongoing partnership with RAJC to train judicial officers and RAJC faculty on the adjudication of complex environmental and climate disputes and legal pedagogy skills. The long-term goal is to deliver a tailored environmental and climate change law judicial curriculum and enhanced skills in legal education to train future Cambodian judges. The capacity building program is supported by ADB Office of the General Counsel's Law and Policy Reform Program (LPR).
