ADB highlights Asia Pacific legal innovations in environmental law at Oslo Conference

ADB General Counsel Thomas Clark, the ADB Law and Policy Reform Program team, and leading Asian judges and academics joined the Oslo International Environmental Law Conference from 3–6 October, showcasing the significant innovations in jurisprudence and environmental law education in our region. General Counsel outlined ADB’s key role driving capacity-building programs for judges, policy makers and academics, including legal reforms and the development of model environmental law curricula. ADB sponsored two panels at the IUCN-supported conference, enabling thought leaders from our DMCs and around the world to develop a vision for the transformative change needed to respond to the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.
